These brass orifices blanks are a replacement for Maytag appliances that use male threaded orifices. They can be drilled to size to convert to natural gas or propane. Outside diameter of the threads is 0.213 at inches, so measure your orifices carefully before ordering. Many cooktops, free standing stoves, bar-b-ques, and rangetops use these types of orifices and they will retrofit a number of other units which usually feature a sealed burner design. This set includes 6 orifices for a stove with up to 6 burners. Many cooktops, rangetops and free standing stoves usually come with a dual gas regulator that can be converted between natural gas and propane. This listing is specifically for the DCS-RGS-485GD range to convert the unit for use with propane. Other DCS range kits are available. Size of rearmost orifices is 1/8 27 threads, and the size of front (larger) orifices is 5.89 mm (standard equivalent of 0.233 inch or nearly 1/4 inch) and the size of the smaller orifice for the inner (low intensity) burner is 3.0 mm. Don’t let the gas size confuse you, the actual size of the female threads is 3/8-inch (see pic) on the bigger orifices. Many cooktops, free standing stoves and rangetops use these types of orifices and they will retrofit a number of other units which use burner assemblies with mixer tubes that fit over hooded orifices. A comprehensive factory conversion guide is included. This set includes 15 orifices for a stove with up to 15 burners to convert this unit from natural gas to propane. This kit includes orfices for all 5 open top burners (2 for each 15,000 BTU open top burner which is actually divided into two parts for each burner; 5 for the middle stove top simmer burners which require #80 orifices and 5 for the outer stove top burners which require #56 orifices), two #58 orifice for the griddle (or grille -depends on your set up) of 24,000 BTU, one #51 orifice for the main oven with 30,000 BTU, one #55 orifice for the 12 inch warming oven of 18,000 BTU, and one #55 orifice for the broiler of 19,000 BTU.
