This is a set of 7 orifices for the Viking GRT480-6GSS series rangetop (only 6 are shown, but this set has 7 orifices). These brass orifices include custom boring to meet the requirements and specs of the GRT series rangetop for a specific customer who will use it with propane as the fuel. Outside diameter of the threads is 0.388 at inches, so measure your orifices carefully before ordering. Many cooktops, free standing stoves, bar-b-ques, and rangetops use these types of orifices and they will retrofit a number of other units which usually feature a sealed burner design. This set includes 7 orifices for a stove with 6 burners and a griddle. Many cooktops, rangetops and free standing stoves usually come with a dual gas regulator that can be converted between natural gas and propane. Other manual adjustments might be necessary, so check your factory instruction manual details. The DCS model# ER48DS range is a 48 range with fired top side burners and two electric ovens below. Four burners have inner and outer burner rings; the inner is used for cooking delicate sauces or simmering, while the outer is used for high intensity heated cooking. There are 3 distinctly sized burners on this unit and 4 of them have low intensity and high intensity burner functions. The large burners and the small burners are the ones with a simmer function, while the mid sized burners DO NOT have a simmer function. DCS rates the burners at 18,000 BTU, 16,000 BTU and 8,500 BTU. The propane output pressure at the regulator is rated at 10 W. This kit features orifices that are specifically bored to match the heat ratings of the burners mentioned above, so make sure your unit matches this model number with these specs. Orifices for the standard burners will be bored as follows: large burners #56, medium burners #58, and small burners #70. The 2 large 18,000 BTU burners have small simmer burner rings at their centers and the 2 small 8,500 BTU burners also have small simmer burner rings at their centers. The small simmer burners produce approximately 1,700 BTU and 2,000 BTU each, so the size of each orifice is #78 and #77 respectively. The size of these orifices is 5.92 mm outside thread measurement as shown (standard equivalent of 0.233 inch or nearly 1/4 inch) at the outside of the threads. Make sure to measure your orifices carefully before ordering. It is usually necessary to convert the regulator as part of the conversion. This listing is specifically for the DCS-364 GL range to convert the unit FROM natural gas to use with propane. Size is 1/8 27 threads. Don’t let the gas size confuse you, the actual size of the female threads is 3/8-inch (see pic). Many cooktops, free standing stoves and rangetops use these types of orifices and they will retrofit a number of other units which use burner assemblies with mixer tubes that fit over hooded orifices. A comprehensive factory guide is included. This set includes 9 orifices for a stove with up to 4 standard burners and a griddle to convert this unit from natural gas to propane. This kit includes orfices for all 4 open top burners (2 for each 15,000 BTU burner which is actually divided into two parts for each burner; 4 for the middle stove top simmer burners which require long shank #79 orifices and 4 for the outer stove top burners which require short shank #57 orifices) and one #55 orifice for the griddle (or grille -depends on your set up) of 18,000 BTU.
