The Motor-Snorkel is a revolutionary device to make the adapting of an engine to propane and natural gas very simple. For decades, the most widely used method for converting an engine to alternative fuel consisted of an adapter block that mounted between the carburetor and the air cleaner. The additional 1-1/4 of space in the airstream caused many issues. For instance, carburetor studs, crank case vent tubes, and other supports had to be extended the same amount of distance. Worst of all, most generators do not have enough clearance between the cover of the air cleaner and the frame to allow for this extra spacing so the frame support had to be cut away. And most enclosed units were not even considered for this process, for obvious reasons. The innovative feature of the Motor-Snorkel is the ingenious and patented design of passing the fuel through the gasket portion of the device. Fuel is then channeled to the proper area in the carburetor so that the original carburetor can control the fuel mixture just the same as running on gasoline. Another amazing feature is the specially designed probe that passes by the choke plate. A unique crush-proof yet flexible material was developed to allow the choke to be used on gasoline so that the engine can operate normally on gasoline without having to remove the Motor-Snorkel. Briggs And Stratton 030430 Natural Gas / Propane Conversion Kit uses an adapter that makes it possible to operate an engine on three different fuels Propane, Natural Gas, and Gasoline. Adapters will mix the Propane or Natural Gas into the air stream above the gasoline carburetor. The gasoline carburetor remains basically untouched. So this kit is not a conversion, it is an adaptation. We are unsure if you need to cut the frame. The air cleaner will be pushed outwards about 1-1/4. NOTE: The C-039-122 fuel regulator that comes in this kit ONLY accepts vapor fuel pressure that is 6 – 8 ounces per square inch, which is the equivalence of 11 inches of water column. This Conversion kit can fit on a Briggs & Stratton GN320 engine. The engine must be 18 hp or smaller. Please message us and tell us the make and model of engine/generator that you want to convert. NOTE: There are more steps to the conversion process but the following steps describes the basic process. Step 1 – Remove the air cleaner assembly. Step 2 – Install the fuel adapter. Step 3 – Assemble fuel regulator and mount on the frame. Adapter and Studs in picture, may be different for what you actually need. This kit is only for carbureted single cylinder engines. Studs or Screws, Depending on Adapter. 90° Fuel Adjustment Elbow. We are unsure if you need to cut the frame. The air cleaner will be pushed outwards about 1-1/4. About 90% of generators will need to have the frame modified. NOTE: The C-039-122 fuel regulator that comes in this kit ONLY accepts vapor fuel pressure that is 6 – 8 ounces per square inch, which is the equivalence of 11 inches of water column.
