These brass orifices are a replacement for appliances that use male threaded orifices. They can be drilled to size to convert to natural gas or propane. Outside diameter of the threads is 0.340 inches, so measure your orifices carefully before ordering. Many cooktops, free standing stoves, bar-b-ques, and rangetops use these types of orifices and they will retrofit a number of other units which usually feature a sealed burner design. This set includes 6 orifices for a stove with up to 6 burners. These brass orifices are a replacement for converting Jennair singe, double or triple bay cooktops and rangetops from propane (LP) to natural gas. Size is 1/8 27 threads. They will fit Jennair Model 4380 series and a number of other Jennair units which use burner assemblies with mixer tubes that fit over hooded orifices, so please view my video link to see how to verify orifice size fitment for your specific unit. This set includes 6 orifices; two #55 orifices (0.052 inches) for the 8,000 BTU burner grille, and four #53 (0.059 inches) orifices for the 10,000 BTU main burners. The DCS model# ER48DS range is a 48 range with fired top side burners and two electric ovens below. Four burners have inner and outer burner rings; the inner is used for cooking delicate sauces or simmering, while the outer is used for high intensity heated cooking. There are 3 distinctly sized burners on this unit and 4 of them have low intensity and high intensity burner functions. The large burners and the small burners are the ones with a simmer function, while the mid sized burners DO NOT have a simmer function. DCS rates the burners at 18,000 BTU, 16,000 BTU and 8,500 BTU. The propane output pressure at the regulator is rated at 10 W. This kit features orifices that are specifically bored to match the heat ratings of the burners mentioned above, so make sure your unit matches this model number with these specs. Orifices for the standard burners will be bored as follows: large burners #56, medium burners #58, and small burners #70. The 2 large 18,000 BTU burners have small simmer burner rings at their centers and the 2 small 8,500 BTU burners also have small simmer burner rings at their centers. The small simmer burners produce approximately 1,700 BTU and 2,000 BTU each, so the size of each orifice is #78 and #77 respectively. The size of these orifices is 5.92 mm outside thread measurement as shown (standard equivalent of 0.233 inch or nearly 1/4 inch) at the outside of the threads. Make sure to measure your orifices carefully before ordering. It is usually necessary to convert the regulator as part of the conversion. Other manual adjustments might be necessary, so check your factory instruction manual details.
