The DCS model# ER48DSCH range is a 48 range with 6 fired top side burners and two electric ovens below. These units have an extreme precision specialty burners with that use two orifices each to tailor the cook flame on extra low for cooking delicate sauces or simmering, while the outer is used for high intensity heated cooking. There are 2 distinctly sized burners (2 of one type at the front left and front right, two of another type at the rear left and rear right, and two of another type at the center front and center rear) that requires 6 distinct types of precision machined orifices, such as the ones in this kit. DCS rates the burners at 18,000 BTU, 16,000 BTU and 8,500 BTU. The propane output pressure at the regulator is rated at 10 W. This kit features orifices that are specifically bored to match the heat ratings of the burners mentioned above, so make sure your unit matches this model number with these specs. Orifices included as follows for the high flame function: two 1.15 mm orifices (for the high heat function of the larger front left and front right burners), two #83 (for the low flame of the larger front left and front right burners), two #58 orifices (for the middle front and middle rear burners), two #58 orifices (for the high flame function of the middle front and middle rear burners), two #77 orifices (for the low flame function of the middle front and middle rear burners), two #70 orifices (for the high flame function of the rear left and rear right burners), and two #78 orifices (for the low flame function of the rear left and rear right burners). The small simmer orifices produce extremely low, tightly controlled flames that generate approximately 841 BTU (low flame front left and front right burners), 1671 BTU (low flame rear left and rear right burners), 2121 BTU (middle front and middle rear burners). The large high heat orifices produce tightly controlled flames that generate approximately 5372 BTU (high flame rear left and rear right burners), 11731 BTU (high flame center front and center rear burners), and 15504 BTU (high flame front left and front right burners). The size of these orifices is 5.92 mm outside thread measurement as shown (standard equivalent of 0.233 inch or nearly 1/4 inch) at the outside of the threads and they are custom made AND TUNED just for this unit. Make sure to measure your orifices carefully before ordering. It is usually necessary to convert the regulator as part of the conversion. Viking Propane Conversion Kit Orifices

These brass orifices are a replacement for converting Viking cooktops, rangetops and free standing stoves from propane to natural gas. Size is 1/8 27 threads. Don’t let the gas size confuse you, the actual size of the female threads is 3/8-inch (see pic). They will fit a number of units which use burner assemblies with mixer tubes that fit over hooded orifices, so please view my video link to see how to verify orifice size fitment for your specific unit. This set includes 6 blank orifices with a starter hole that must be bored to size. Most cooktops come with a dual gas regulator that can be converted between natural gas and propane. Other manual adjustments might be necessary, so check your factory instruction manual. No other parts should be required to complete the conversion, so long as your stove uses a dual gas regulator.
