This listing is specifically for the DCS-488 range to convert the unit for use with propane. Size is 1/8 27 threads. Don’t let the gas size confuse you, the actual size of the female threads is 3/8-inch (see pic). Many cooktops, free standing stoves and rangetops use these types of orifices and they will retrofit a number of other units which use burner assemblies with mixer tubes that fit over hooded orifices. A comprehensive factory guide is included. This set includes 17 orifices for a stove with up to 17 burners to convert this unit from natural gas to propane. This kit includes orfices for all 6 open top burners (2 for each 16,000 BTU burner which is actually divided into two parts for each burner; 6 for the middle stove top simmer burners which require long shank #80 orifices and 6 for the outer stove top burners which require #57 orifices), one #55 orifice for the grill (or griddle -depends on your set up) of 18,000 BTU, one #51 orifice for the main oven with 30,000 BTU, one #55 orifice for the 12 inch warming oven of 18,000 BTU, one #55 orifice for the broiler of 19,000 BTU and another # 56 orifice for the RGA broiler of 16,000 BTU. The stock manifold output pressure for propane must be factory spec at 10.0 W. Contact me if your regulators output pressure is different. Size of rearmost orifices is 1/8 27 threads, and the size of front (larger) orifices is 5.89 mm (standard equivalent of 0.233 inch or nearly 1/4 inch) and the size of the smaller orifice for the inner (low intensity) burner is 3.0 mm. Don’t let the gas size confuse you, the actual size of the female threads is 3/8-inch (see pic) on the bigger orifices. Many cooktops, free standing stoves and rangetops use these types of orifices and they will retrofit a number of other units which use burner assemblies with mixer tubes that fit over hooded orifices. The DCS model# ER36DSCH range is a 36 range with fired top side burners and a single electric oven below. These units have an extreme precision specialty burners with that use two orifices each to tailor the cook flame on extra low for cooking delicate sauces or simmering, while the outer is used for high intensity heated cooking. There are 3 distinctly sized burners (2 of each type) with a staggered array on this unit and that required 6 distinct types of precision machined orifices, such as the ones in this kit. DCS rates the burners at 18,000 BTU, 16,000 BTU and 8,500 BTU. The propane output pressure at the regulator is rated at 10 W. This kit features orifices that are specifically bored to match the heat ratings of the burners mentioned above, so make sure your unit matches this model number with these specs. Orifices included as follows for the high flame function: two #55 (for the high side of burners 4 and 6), two #57 (for the high side of burners 2 and 5), two #69 (for burners 1 and 3). These burner also feature a secondary gas circuit to accommodate a hyper controllable low flame function controlled by low intensity orifices as follows: two #77 (for the low side of burners 2 and 5), two #78 (for the low side of burners 1 and 3) and two #87 orifices (for the low side of burners 4 and 6). The small simmer orifices produce extremely low, tightly controlled flames that generate approximately 780 BTU (burners 4 and 6), 1750 BTU each (burners 1 and 3) and 2060 BTU (burners 2 and 5) respectively. The size of these orifices is 5.92 mm outside thread measurement as shown (standard equivalent of 0.233 inch or nearly 1/4 inch) at the outside of the threads and they are custom made AND TUNED just for this unit. Make sure to measure your orifices carefully before ordering. It is usually necessary to convert the regulator as part of the conversion.
